Kye Allums is a graduate of The George Washington University where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. While attending GW, Kye made history by becoming the first openly Division I Trans athlete. Allums is now devoted to making a difference in the world by sharing his story, fighting Queer ignorance with education, and empowering everyone on the gender spectrum to speak out and say #IMEnough.
The journey of coming out can be very tough and challenging at times. The pain and struggles that so many LGBTXYZ youth are going through right now inspired Kye to create @ProjectIMEnough. As a student who was once bullied, putting an end to bullying and ignorance is imperative. Kye has been traveling to schools and organizations across the country, facing ignorance and bullying head on. No human being should ever have to feel like they are not enough.
Mr. Allums will be attending New York University in the fall of 2014 to pursue a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership focusing Advocacy and Politics. As Kye works towards his goals, he will continue to focus on his mission to spread Queer awareness through his message #IMEnough. Kye Allums is a passionate Queer Advocate and he will not stop pursuing equality until equality has won.
